Make Up Brush Holder
There are a lot of ways to store your makeup brushes, but one of the most popular is in a brush holder. Brush holders come in all different shapes, sizes, and materials. Some are made out of plastic, metal, glass, or even wood.
There are also many different designs to choose from. You can find ones that sit on your countertop or ones that hang on the wall. One benefit of using a brush holder is that it helps to keep your brushes organized.
This can be especially helpful if you have a lot of different brushes for different types of makeup. Having a designated place for each brush can help you save time when you’re getting ready because you won’t have to search through everything to find the right one. Another benefit of using a brush holder is that it can help extend the life of your brushes.
When brushes are left lying around loose, they can get damaged more easily. But if they’re stored in a holder, they’re less likely to get bent out of shape or broken. And taking good care of your brushes will make them last longer so you don’t have to replace them as often!
So if you’re looking for a way to keep your makeup brushes organized and protected, consider investing in a brush holder. There are lots of great options available to suit any need and preference!
Makeup Brush Holder making
Here’s how: You’ll need: -A block of Styrofoam (you can find this at most craft stores)
-A sharp knife or box cutter -A hot glue gun -Ribbon, fabric, or other decorations (optional)
1. Cut the Styrofoam into the shape you want your brush holder to be. You can make it as simple or elaborate as you like; just make sure it’s big enough to fit all of your brushes. 2. Use the hot glue gun to attach ribbon, fabric, or other decorations around the outside of the holder.
This is completely optional, but it’s a great way to add some personality to your holder. 3. Poke holes into the top of the Styrofoam using the knife or box cutter. The holes should be big enough for the handles of your brushes to fit through snugly.
4. Insert your brushes into the holes and voila! You now have a safe place to store your brushes when you’re not using them.

How Do You Make Makeup Brush Holders?
Assuming you would like a tutorial on how to make a makeup brush holder, here are instructions: You will need:
– 1 toilet paper roll or paper towel roll
– Scissors – Tape – Pencil or pen
– Ruler or measuring tape – Decorative paper (optional) – Glue (optional)
Instructions:
1. Start by cutting your toilet paper roll in half using scissors. If you’re using a paper towel roll, cut it down to about 4 inches.
You can also cut it at an angle to create more of a pointed shape. The longer the better for holding brushes! Just make sure both halves are equal in size.
2. Once you have your two halves, use tape to adhere them together at the top center. Make sure it’s secure so your holder won’t fall apart later on.
3. Next, take your decorative paper and begin wrapping it around the outside of your holder.
You can glue it down if you’d like, but wrapping it with tape is just as effective and much easier! Simply start at the bottom and work your way up, making sure there are no gaps or overlapping pieces of paper. You can even switch up the patterns or colors of paper for each side for a unique look!
4. Finally, use a pencil or pen to mark where you’ll be placing each hole for your makeup brushes. We recommend 3 holes spaced evenly apart near the top of your holder – this will allow different-sized brushes to fit without falling through. Use a ruler or measuring tape to mark out where each hole should go before carefully cutting them out with scissors. And that’s it!
How Do You Make a Makeup Brush Case?
Assuming you would like a tutorial on how to make a makeup brush case, here are the materials and steps you will need: Materials: – 1/4 yard of cotton or linen fabric (you can use a fat quarter)
– Coordinating thread – 11″ zipper – Scissors
– Pins – Sewing machine – Iron & ironing board
Instructions:
1. Cut your fabric to 18″x11″. Fold the fabric in half lengthwise with the wrong sides together and press.
Then open the fabric back up and fold each long side in to meet the center crease and press again. You should now have a rectangle that is 4.5″x11″.
2. Place the zipper face down along the top raw edge of the rectangle, making sure that the teeth of the zipper are lined up with the raw edge of the fabric.
3. Pin in place. Using your sewing machine, stitch along both edges of the zipper about 1/8″ from each edge. Be careful not to sew over any part of the zipper teeth as this will break your needle!
Start and stop your stitching at each end before you reach the metal stopper so that you can pivot when you turn corners. Use a zigzag stitch or other decorative stitches if desired for extra reinforcement at these points. 3 3/4″ down from one end of your stitched rectangle, draw a line perpendicular to this first line across the entire width of your rectangle using chalk or another marking tool. This second line will be used as a guide for folding and stitching later on, so make sure it’s visible but won’t show through to your final product too much. Draw another similar line 3 3/4″ down from the other end as well. Draw yet another similar line 6 1/2″ down from one end – this will be where you insert your brushes so make sure it’s wide enough for whatever size brushes you’re using!
4 . Now it’s time to attach our lining fabrics! On one 18″ side of each lining piece, fold over 1/2″ towards wrong side of fabric and press. Then fold over again 1″, pressing once more after each fold until you’ve reached right side again (i was able to fit four folds on mine). Do this for both lining pieces then set aside for now leaving them wrong side up..
5 . On our exterior fabric piece that already has its zipper attached, we’re going to create little tubes for our dowels by folding it in half lengthwise with the wrong sides touching, then pressing flat with iron all along this new crease we’ve just made.. Once pressed open back up your tube so that the wrong sides are facing outwards again then take one short end and tuck it inside until its raw edge meets up with the top raw edge – see pictures above for clarification if needed!. Press flat once more then repeat process on another short end as well. Now flip the tube right side out through the center opening then poke out all four corners so they’re nice and sharp. Press well once more. If everything looks good at this point go ahead and insert dowels into their respective tubes – I cut mine down slightly so they wouldn’t stick out too much on either side but do whatever works best for you!
What Do You Put in the Bottom of a Makeup Brush Holder?
A makeup brush holder is a great way to keep your brushes organized and dust-free. But what do you put in the bottom of the holder to keep your brushes from sliding around?
There are a few different options that you can use, depending on what you have on hand.
One option is to use rice. Simply pour a layer of uncooked rice into the bottom of the holder and place your brushes on top. The rice will absorb any moisture and help to keep your brushes in place.
Another option is to use small pebbles or stones. Again, simply pour a layer into the bottom of the holder and place your brushes on top. The weight of the stones will help to keep your brushes in place, even if they get jostled around a bit.
If you don’t have any rice or stones on hand, you can always just use some old T-shirts or towels cut into strips. Roll up each strip tightly and place them in the bottom of the holder, spacing them out evenly. Your makeup brushes should then be able to sit on top without slipping around too much.
How Do You Make a Fabric Makeup Brush Holder?
If you’re anything like me, you love makeup brushes but hate having them constantly cluttering up your countertop. A fabric makeup brush holder is the perfect way to store your brushes while keeping them within reach. Plus, it’s a great way to add a personal touch to your beauty routine!
Here’s how to make your own fabric makeup brush holder: You’ll need: -A square of cotton fabric (I used quilting cotton)
-Scissors -A needle and thread -A hot glue gun and glue sticks
-Ribbon or other trim (optional)
1. Start by cutting your fabric into a square. My square was about 6 inches wide, but you can make yours whatever size you like. Just be sure that it’s big enough to fit all of your makeup brushes!
2. Fold the top edge of the fabric down about an inch, and hem it in place with a few stitches or some hot glue.
3. Next, fold the bottom edge of the fabric up so that it meets the top edge. Again, hem this in place with stitches or hot glue.
4. Now turn your fabric tube right side out so that the seams are on the inside. You should have a long cylinder of fabric now.
5 . Find the center of one end of the cylinder and mark it with a pin or a piece of chalk. Then, cut a slit from that point all the way up to the top seam. This will create an opening for inserting your brushes later on. If you’re using ribbon or other trim, now is the time to get creative and add around the opening! I simply wrapped mine around a few times and tied a bow, but feel free to get as creative as you want.
6 . All that’s left to do now is fill your new makeup brush holder with brushes and enjoy having a tidy countertop!
Conclusion
Making your own makeup brush holder is a great way to organize your brushes and keep them clean. Plus, it’s super easy to do! All that you need is some items and a creative mind. Making your own makeup brush holders gives you the freedom to create what you love to see to organize your makeup brushes.
