Some reports say that Maybelline cosmetics, another heavy hitter in this industry, utilizes pig fat in their products, especially lipstick.

As mentioned, there are a lot of pig parts that are being used for cosmetics. Imagine your hairbrush, don’t you know that some of them are made with pig hair? Yep.

So why pig fat for lipsticks? Well, based on our research, pig fats adds that much-needed or desired glow to lipsticks. Plus, it adds that texture to it.

Look for those that contain carmine or cochineal that mostly derives from insects. Also, watch out for questionable ingredients like Oleic Acid, Keratin, Lanolin Alcohol, Palmitic Acid, Gelatin, Stearic Acid, and Glycerin.
